How to get there:
Arrival is from your starting point to Ramsau Rössing. From there continue to Weißenbach. From the village square in Weissenbach, an asphalted road leads past the Dorfkapelle, in the direction of Sonnberg. From the Sagbauer Wegkreuz at the foot of the Sonnberg a forest road leads to Gradenbach. After a few meters, a forest path leads to the open-air Kneipp facility.
Sattental - Stierkarsee
The idyllic Sattental - endless peace and a place to relax. Let yourself be enchanted by this unique place of relaxation.
Stierkarsee - ascending along the brook, the path leads upwards through the blocky Kar. After a gentle hour of walking, the ascent climbs to the right across the ridge to the neighboring Hochkar, about an hour and a half up into a quiet landscape.
How to get there:
By car you can get to Schladming and take the Ennstal Bundesstrasse B320, exit Pruggern, direction Michaelerberg. Continue along the Pruggererbergweg, on the Bergstrasse, which rises in the lower part, and soon turn left into the Sattentalweg, turning towards the southward-looking valley. Along the last farms you reach the alpine road, which ends in the boulder-like valley close to the northern foot of the mighty Hochwildstelle.
Silberkarklamm und Hölltalsee
Looking for a varied and extensive hike? Then the hike to the Hölltalsee is just right for you!
The path leads through wooden stairs secured by railings, next to the rushing waterfalls through the Silberkarklamm. At the upper end of the gorge, the entire ascent area is located on the right side of the Wasenspitze. The path leads up to the Silberkarhütte at first. From here, however, it is rapidly becoming steeper, the rocky path is however well and hardly difficult. Crossing the Weitwanderweg from the Guttenberghaus to the Brunnerhütte, you descend to the north-west to the Felsenkessel embedded Hölltalsee or Silberkarsee after a short flat section. Once you arrive at the Hölltalsee, you will return to Silberkarhütte. The descent is the same as the ascent through the Silberkarklamm.
Tip: If you still want to have more: the "Königsetappe" with a length of 14.2 km awaits you.
How to get there:
From your starting point to Ramsau Rössing in the direction of Weißenbach. Follow the main road almost to Lodenwalker and turn left. Slighty left over a few bends on a gravel road to the large car park below the Silberkarklamm.
Vögeialm
Let yourself be pampered by a visit to the Vögeialm and enjoy the peace at the end of the idyllic Forstaubach Valley, as well as the specialties from the local cuisine.
Enjoy the wonderful and beautiful alpine plant life, which is permeated by numerous small bodies of water while you are hiking and mountainbiking through the beautiful nature.
Hiking tip:
From the Vögeialm, the path leads southwards over the Klamml, then climbs and leads past the picturesque Klammlsee up to the Seekarscharte at 2,000 meters, where it leads along the Tauernhöhenweg over the Oberhüttensattel to the Oberhütte am See. The descent is either by a somewhat steeper path along the Oberhüttenbach or over the longer, only slightly descending path back to the starting point. For this medium-heavy hiking route, you should plan 4 hours of walking time.
How to get there:
Traveling from your starting point to Schladming, take the Ennstalbundesstraße B320 towards Pichl. Follow the Bundesstraße until Gleiming turn left and turn left again. At the crossroads in Forstau turn towards the church and from there a toll-free road leads along the Forstaubach to the car park of the Vögeialm.
